I have been doing the work from home since mid-March. I desperately needed at least one full size monitor to attach to my very small laptop. This monitor totally did the trick. Excellent colors, graphics, visuals, very easy to set up. That's all you need to enhance your work environment at home.
BUY NOWJust the heads up, the supporting structure is not adjustable. So, if you need to tilt the screen at a certain angle, you have to put the monitor on a couple of binders. I don't mind doing that.
Great Picture, Color and Clarity, Nice Monitor
This is a really nice little monitor. I was not expecting much for a low-end monitor at a rock bottom price, but have to admit I am pleasantly surprised. Really, no cons at this price point. Pluses:
1. Very clear, sharp screen for a 1600 x 900 display. Has a better picture than a new 1920 x 1080 HP monitor I have.
2. Very good standard color saturation - not washed out at all. I did not feel the need to adjust color or brightness settings.
3. Good font clarity and sharpness.
4. Has integrated speakers, a nice surprise for such an inexpensive monitor, where many higher-end models don't include speakers. Speakers are not incredibly loud but are very clear and not tinny. The speakers work through the DVI to HDMI cable and there is no need for an extra audio cable.
5. Comes with a DVI-D to HDMI cable as well as a standard VGA to VGA cable. Monitor has a VGA output and two HDMI outputs, as well as audio outputs if you would rather not use the integrated speakers.
6. The monitor stand snaps to the base, and the stand screws into the monitor with just two screws. There is a strong hinge built in which allows easy tilting for your viewing preferences. Took a couple minutes to assemble.
7. Box comes with a screwdriver, so you don't need to have tools of your own.
8. Nice color-coded ports on the back.
This is my first Sceptre monitor and based on this, I will be likely to consider this brand again. Very pleased.
Exactly what I needed.
The monitor is large which I love and it has very good picture quality. The monitor does not adjust for height ( it does not move up or down ). It does however, tilt up or down which works fine for me. It is very easy to set up and there is no installation needed. The monitor comes with all cables you need. Great value for the money!
I'm don't know why I would buy a more expensive monitor-this one is great.
A very good value. I just needed a 20" monitor to replace one that had gone bad on a two-monitor system-I needed to match the size so that was important. I hadn't heard of Sceptre, but the reviews were positive, so I ordered one. It arrived in two days, well packaged and padded. I was impressed that a screwdriver and two different connector cables were included with the purchase. Assembly was easy and intuitive. Plugged it in and connected to my computer and it booted right up. I've used it for one day and have been quite pleased. I imagine if it was side by side with a gaming display I might notice some quality disparities, but for my purposes this works extremely well. It takes up less space on my desk than the previous monitor while maintaining the same display area.
The best bang for your buck you'll find anywhere
I bought this monitor for my new computer, and I can't believe the quality. I have always wanted a dual-monitor set up, but couldn't afford two high-end monitors. I bought a Dell computer, and a 24" Dell monitor to go with it. This one was for my second monitor, I bought a 20" to save some desk space. The picture quality is essentially identical to the Dell, I really can't tell a difference in resolution, and the speakers are actually pretty decent. They're located on the back of the monitor, so the sound is a little muffled, but it beats having to buy separate speakers, and mess with all the cords that go along with them. The bezel isn't quite as thin as the Dell, which is to be expected considering the price discount, but it's not bad. I kind of wish I had bought two of these and saved money on the Dell monitor (which, by the way, arrived broken--I had to have Dell ship me a replacement).
Great Monitor!
I got this for my husband after his old monitor stopped working. As soon as we received it, we opened it to make sure all was good on it. The box was in great condition, it just isn't covered. It arrives in the box that comes from the factory (the scepter box). So anyone driving by will know what you ordered. We plugged it in, and the screen was really bright (that's okay we fixed it after following the monitor's manual). Screen was in great condition, it does come with a film over it, no color damage, no scratches. We tested the sound. The sound isn't loud by any means, and it kinda sounds like the audio of a portable dvd player/ tablet. Which for us isn't a big deal since my husband is almost always using his headset to listen to everything on his computer. It comes with an hdmi cord and mount screws (I assume for wall mounting?). My husband decided to use the new hdmi to connect his ps4 to the monitor as well since he still has the hdmi for his computer. Overall happy with the monitor. It came with a stand as well. Very easy to set up.
Not what I expected, but still satisfied with it!
I wanted to upgrade from using 2 jerry rigged monitors I put together (they were different sizes). I bought two of these and was expecting them to not be as horizontal as they are. The size is right, but expect something that is more rectangular than something that is more balanced in shape. They're slightly too rectangular... but even still they are picture sharp and quality. Lightweight and easy to put together. The AC cord plug in is also a bit bulky and very rectangular (I'm starting to see a pattern here), but arrived in good packaging and undamaged. A big of residue remained after pulling off the sticker on the frame part of the monitor, but nothing a bit of goo-gone can't fix. As for gaming, I play games like cities skylines and haven't noticed and drop in frames. I can't say how this will hold up for games like COD. Still a good purchase, but my next one will be monitors more balanced in shape.

I'm one of those annoying consumers that doesn't write regular feedback unless something really annoys me or really impresses me. This company impressed me. This monitor isn't the greatest monitor on the market. That's undeniable.
What it is though, is a great product for the price. The monitor comes with easy installation, the HDMI cable you will need, even a small screwdriver to attach the stand to the monitor. It also comes with 4 wall-mounting screws if you want to go that route. For under 100 dollars, that's a steal. It saved me from my sudden realization that I had forgotten to purchase an HDMI as well has having to go look for my screw driver. I've certainly had prettier displays, but this monitor is solid and I appreciate the budget option. It's a great choice and I'll definitely look to this company again if I need electronic goods.

For some odd reason, I felt a need to add another monitor to my already crowded desk. I wanted something small and at the time found this 20“ monitor at a good price. With the Amazon return window closing in, I wanted to check it out in case it was defective or not what I wanted. I temporality hooked it up to a blue ray player to see if it worked. The screen came on and asked me to complete the setup. I fought with the monitor for a half an hour to get off a language screen and when I couldn’t, I started texting the Amazon help desk. After a half hour with Amazon, she suggested she would call the company representative and discuss over the phone. I promptly received the call from both and within five minutes realized the language screen was coming from the blue ray player, not the monitor. I should have seen this. Issued resolved and I thanked them both. Afterwards, I completed a survey stating I was very pleased with the service from both the Amazon and product representatives.
Now in regards to the monitor itself, I was nervous about buying a monitor thru the mail. I have had several other purchases in the past damaged while in transit. The monitor arrived in its own box giving me doubts about its survivability. I found the outside of the box undamaged and upon opening, found the monitor well packed. Very impressive.
The monitor had a stand that was easy to attach and could also be mounted to a wall. The video is very good and controls are easy to access on the back. The only shortcomings I felt was that I wished the stand could tilt and the volume could be a bit louder. Easily resolved with a cheap speaker attached and a piece of cardboard under the front of the stand. For $60 though, I can’t complain.
