Reviews of Sceptre 30-inch Curved Gaming Monitor 21:9 2560x1080 Ultra Wide Ultra Slim HDMI DisplayPort up to 200Hz Build-in Speakers, Metal Black (C305B-200UN)

ABSOULTE GREAT MONITOR! GREAT BUY! IMPRESSIVE!
I am seriously impressed with this 30in ultra wide monitor by Sceptre! Great value for the money! I actually had a larger 34in ultra wide monitor by LG but it had a 60hz refresh rate and no AMD Free Sync. I think for the money you are getting a very good ultra wide monitor! Very stylish with a thin bezel! Pretty good picture!
A lot better than my 34in LG ultra wide! Can't go wrong! My PC specs are AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum RAM, ASUS X470 motherboard, Enermax 240mm AIO, Enermax Squa RGB fans, Seasonic Silent Snow PSU, Sapphire Nitro+ 5700XT video card, ADATA XPG NVme M.2 SSD, and InWin 301 PC case.

 Amazing monitor for the price
Took a chance on this new monitor because nothing could come close to it in terms of price to feature ratio. Curved 200hz ultrawide for $300???
It has a great picture dispite it being a VA panel, I’ve only had TN and IPS in the past as well. I was worried about ghosting as I read about VA panels having that issue at higher refresh rates, but I am running Apex at 200fps, monitor set to 200hz refresh with freesync and it is buttery smooth.
Running a 5700XT with no issues.
I have no complaints about this monitor, picture looks amazing and it performs well. This honestly has a better picture than my previous ultrawide, which was a 29 inch LG 75hz. All colors are very true and is perfect out of the box.
5ms response time also worried me but there has been no noticeable input lag for me.
Overall great monitor and glad I took the chance on it, I’m sure this will become a popular monitor because the price on this is amazing.
If you are looking for an ultrawide to game on with a great picture, high refresh rate with low input lag, a plethora of ports, and lastly at a great price, this is the monitor for you.

Smooth as Butter
I have gone through multiple monitors in the past couple of years, trying to find the right one that also doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Before this, I was using a 34" LG Ultrawide at 75hz. For 2560*1080, I found 35" to be too big of a screen. I think this is a perfect size. The details are much better and it is soooooo smooth. I notice minimal to no ghosting. I wouldn't let that scare you away. The overall color/picture quality is also solid. Build construction is good. The monitor has a nice heft.

The ONLY drawback, in my opinion, is the stand that this monitor comes with. As you can see from my picture, it is too short, and causes you to crane your neck down. I tried a generic monitor riser (also pictured) and it worked okay, but made the overall footprint of the monitor too large. Additionally, the monitor's legs were so long that they hung off the side of the riser. Finally, I tried a $30 monitor arm (also pictured). It makes the monitor take up the least amount of desk space, and is also the most flexible in terms of height/orientation. The built-in VESA adapter is sturdy and I have no concerns in regards to it.

Great Product
The picture and quality of this monitor is extremely well I was skeptical about the picture quality at first because Ive never had anything from this brand before. The sound quality is not bad I already had some speakers for my PC but its still not bad enough for me to give the product less that 5 stars. 5/5 would buy again and will definitely be buying from this brand again.

Best bang for your buck!
Couldn't be happier with this purchase. I've spent weeks looking for a monitor that best suits my needs. And boy let me tell you, this surpassed them, by a landslide. For a sub- $300 monitor, this thing is a beast. Can't wait to get back on and put some more hours on this baby.

Designed for gaming with the right PC Hardware. Not designed as a MAC Gamer.
One drawback is when it comes to PC's and Monitors, you won't know for sure until you try it out for yourself. You can ask the seller questions, but sometimes the question you should have asked isn't obvious until the thing is sitting on your desk. It may boil down to something very specific to your application/environment/ergonomics that the seller, or even the manufacturer can't give you a definitive answer because of the subjective nature of sitting in front of a screen for hours at a time.
A big help for me in determining which to order is to download the user manual and quick set-up guides from the Manufacturer Website. By carefully reading the specs and going through the OSD Menu entries I am sure that what I'm ordering, at least on paper, has the right specs. This way, the monitors should have all the right comparable specs and you should end up with what you really want. Still, as was it was in my case you may have to try it out before you can finalize the purchase.
I need a widescreen curved monitor such as this 30" Scepter with PBP (split screen) so as to be able to work on documents from two different inputs, i.e. two PC's. So I am reviewing this from more of a business angle, not from a Gaming criteria.
Basically, it is a simple, single-purpose gaming PC Monitor. If used just for gaming on an Nvidia Graphics PC, it works as advertised. You've got to match video cards, max res, number and type of inputs, hdmi 1.4, 2.0? Is Displayport 1.2 enough? I finally narrowed down to a 30-32 inch 21:9 ultrawide, curved, (gaming) monitor though I would only use it for business. I need a split screen with quick and easy transition from one input to another. To change inputs from one PC to another on this monitor requires 11 button pushes and the dual split-screens are squished horizontally as determined by the screen width and 2560hz horizontal resolution. Nothing really wrong with the monitor itself. My opinion is that this monitor should be best acknowledged as a single input Gaming monitor. It was not quite suitable for my application. Better would be a wider monitor with higher horizontal frequency.
The Wall Plate though not it's intended use can be attaching it to a standard 4 hole Vesa mounting arm plate. It comes with a 75mm 4 hole Adapter, so it can be done. Two little bolts attach one side to the monitor, the other side can be fastened to a regular Monitor mounting plate (75mm hole pattern) on the extended arm of your vesa desktop stand mounted to your desk . You will have to obtain an additional four M4 x 20mm bolts, with washers and nuts to bolt (fasten) Wall Mount to the Vesa plate of your stand. Easily accomplished except for obtaining your own hardware. No wall plate screws are supplied as there are different types of wall mounts.
At this price point, as I've mentioned, this monitor is designed to work best with a PC having an Nvidia Video Card using GSync. They tell you up front how it's designed to work. With the right hardware you can get the 160 - 200 hz frequency for high-end gaming. With Displayport 1.2 I was able to get 120hz picture that was good enough for ordinary Windows 10 desktop, but I can't comment how it would work for gaming. Need Displayport 1.4, or Hdmi 2.0 to obtain 160-200hz. The Nvidia drivers must be up to date and can be downloaded from Nvidia Website. The driver page lists a long paragraph of Nvidia cards compatible with that driver. It may work well enough with other PC video cards as well, but I was using an old GT 620. No problem with the latest driver but not suitable for intensive gaming.
Using with a Mac, (I have a Macbook Pro) is a crapshoot. Older Macs are designed to work with older Mac compatible hardware. This monitor, as is the case with the majority of OEM generic monitors, is directed at the Windows PC Market. If it works with your Mac, well and good, but don't count on it, not for serious gaming for sure. My 2011 Macbook Pro has early thunderbolt - backwards compatible with mini-displayport. I used a mini-displayport cable with short mini-displayport to Displayport adapter. Macbook has a 2560x1440 spec video output. It connected with the monitor but full-screen picture was a little vertically flattened, (i.e.horizontall stretched); not acceptable. Mac System Preferences Display Icon showed 1080p. That is correct, but the Macbook is designed for 4:3 ratio. My Macbook was never intended to handle 21:9 aspect ratio; not the fault of the monitor. Works perfect though with my 21.5 inch Acer screen. Newer macs with thunderbolt 3, a.k.a. USB-C should be compatible with USB-C input monitors.
In order to avoid the hassle of a return, my advice is to ask the seller - better yet, download the manual, especially with third-party sellers as return shipping is pretty expensive. Be aware of the intended use and specs and consider that in order to get a monitor with better options, you might have to spend another $100.00 or more. What I could determine is that used as intended and properly set up, it will do what is advertised at 160hz For business, with dual inputs, maybe not, but the manufacturer does not advertise it as anything but designed for gaming so I really can't complain. I had to try it to find out.

Great Value for the money
So far it’s looks good as describe.
I’m in love of the fact that this is a curved monitor as it’s my first one like that.

It’s working great and the quality really stands out... I don’t see any reason why to buy more expensive monitors as I use my computer for video editing and not for gaming etc.

it’s a great value for the money I can tell you that.

Beautiful monitor for the value
Start off by prefacing I'm on a novice when it comes to monitors of this scale (as you can see by my 2nd monitor in the picture), but from a basic point of view this monitor is truly beautiful. Been playing a few games now and there's no dead pixels, gorgeous picture on even older games, mount is sturdy and easy to install, and the best part is the price compared to others. I have yet to see another of similar size and Hz offered that even comes close to this in price, with most being at least $100 more for what I can see as barely any difference in quality. I should also mention, this product comes with a Display Port cord, so no need to buy one separate if you plan to use that port.

I'm not sure about the two recent 1-star reviews below me, as I had no issues, and all the parts were wrapped in included in an orderly manner, and Sceptre has a warranty, as well as a support line, that they could have contacted at any time (information included in the box). Some advice for them, and to others to potentially avoid their fate: DON'T GRAB THE MONITOR BY THE SCREEN WHEN YOU TAKE IT OUT OF THE BOX. There's a warning on the side of the box when you open it saying if you do it could potentially damage the monitor, but I could see how someone could miss this and do that, and then blame the product as being defective. Second, the AC adapter for the power cord is in a separate part of the box from the main cord, so you could potentially miss this if you open the other side first and assume it wasn't included, and then throw away the piece of foam which has the adapter in it.

All that being said, would definitely recommend this product if you want good quality for cheaper.

Update: 5 months in and I still couldn’t be happier with this purchase, not a dead pixel in sight. My first flat screen was a Sceptre and lasted for 5-6 years, and this one is shaping up to be the same. Good value, good quality

Sceptre C30 200hz is a bargain and very capable VA panel
Very happy with this purchase. I reviewed it on my channel and it is a great monitor for the price. Includes DisplayPort cable and stand. It also includes Vesa mounting option.

Great Value!
200 Hz, Curved VA Panel, Freesync Enabled and at god damn 300$. Honestly at this price point this monitor is unbeatable. It arrived in perfect conditions with not a single dead pixel. This surpassed my expectations, you should definitely buy it!
