Perfect monitor so far
In the picture it is the monitor on the right, have had it for a week so far and it came in perfect condition. Went from 75 Hz to 165 Hz and it makes a huge difference especially for gaming. It is a TN panel, but the picture quality seems very good compared to my IPS monitor(on the left). Comes with DisplayPort cable
too. Can't beat the price either. 5/5

Here's an average joe review..
What I mean by that is that I'm not nor will I proclaim to be, some professional in the field of gaming displays. I have however been playing on an old school vizio 1080p 60hz tv for 9 years. I bought this because I received advice from friends that I desperately needed a display upgrade and that they recommended a monitor with a high refresh rate preferably 120hz and a low response time. So I found this and it came today. Right off the bat the packaging was fantastic, there wasn't a trillion little pieces that were a pain in the ass to install, the stand to my knowledge feels like pure metal and is extremely sturdy and the best part??? It CAME with a 165hz ready displayport cable! I hooked this sucker up and immediately noticed the difference, I mean seriously no doubt I could literally tell the difference in overall quality and gameplay instantaneously. Very seldom has an item taken my breath away over the sheer quality but this very much so did. Now don't misunderstand me, if you have more money OBVIOUSLY there's better products with better image quality but for 179.99 I truly believe I got away with theft. I am so beyond pleased at this product. I reckon my only complaint would be the speakers but who in the blue hell even uses though for pc gaming..lol
I definitely without a shadow of doubt recommend this to anyone looking to amp up their pc gaming experience. It's just so good...
P.S the friggin screwdriver that comes with it is a bossssssss
Better than top of the line monitors!
Hands down best monitor I’ve owned. 24.5 inches is the perfect size for gaming. This monitor has a 1ms response time and 165hz out of the box. Not many monitors offer these 3 things especially at this price range. I was surprised that there was no need to adjust the color since they were tuned straight out of the box. No dull or over saturated colors. The only negative thing I can say about this monitor is that the mount that comes with it is not customizable at all. No swivel, tilt or height adjustment but at this price point it’s not a turn off. Is is vesa compatible so that’s a plus and if it’s too low then I’d suggest putting it on top of the box to raise the monitor to a level that suits you. All in all it’s a great monitor with a strong build quality and it comes with a display port cable. Highly would recommend.
120h 1440p on xbox one x and s hard to accomplish
I used this moniter on an xbox one x and a reg xbox one you can get your 1440p and 120h as long as you have a high speed cable just know it won't output that only because you need both to be able to support hdmi 2.1 the xbox is updated to support hdmi2.1 not the moniter i dont think any moniters support it yet those of you worrying about getting 120h on xbox with 1440p you will need a display that supports hdmi 2.1 and as which xbox one x and s does get a high speed cable it will at least get you fastet response times good luck i would just reccomend this moniter as it has been my first one coming from a 4k tv this moniter is amazing i def feel it has made my gaming better all I play is rainbow six siege too high hopes though for next gen of consoles to grow out of the 60 frame lock if you have questions you can message my xbox gt it is dulcez
Bought this as a gift, quick test worked well at 165 Hz as a G-SYNC monitor!
Bought this as a gift, quick test worked well at 165 Hz as a G-SYNC monitor! Didn't have extensive time with it, but it was ridiculously smooth, and G-SYNC worked on it with an NVIDIA RTX card.
#EDIT: Only issue with it is the stand; it's not keeping the monitor level on the table.
I'm Amazed
This is an exceptional monitor for the price. Packaging was great and it came with everything needed to hook up. I didn't use the stand because I use a monitor mount. The mount is perfect where it is located on the back of monitor. I made some adjustments in the monitor settings and the picture is superb. I'm averaging a little over 100 frames per second in the game The Division and using 3Dmark I averaged 70 frames per second. I also checked the pixels and found zero dead pixels on either monitor. Images are very crisp and vivid in both regular applications and in games. The cons for this monitor are the locations for the connections like the HDMI and Display ports and the power cable. You will need to purchase 90 degree adapters for any cable you use because otherwise you will see them protruding from the bottom of the monitor. The sound is fair considering the monitor is very thin.
Great
I saw some reviews saying the panel had some defects. Light bleed, dead pixels, etc. However, I really saw no reviews that really gave details about the monitor so I am here to give you some real information and quality about the monitor so you can choose for yourself if this is for you. First and foremost, the monitor is well built with a metal stand connector and arm while the leg is thicker plastic. Nothing wrong with this in my opinion, the stand is sturdy enough to support the monitor no problem. The stand offers a bit of tilt no height adjustment. For me not a big issue but this is for me so its your decision if you need height adjustment. Now on to the display. MINE was hard to look at out of the box. This could be because of windows settings but I did some adjustments and it looks better now. The biggest issue wasn't quality but was the picture was extremely washed out, it was too bright without enough contrast making menus and task-bars appear gross looking. Using the built in menu I was able to turn on a better color setting for my tasks and turned on DCR. DCR stands for Dynamic Contrast. It made the monitor look much better and even more so after adjusting Nvidia's color settings. Furthermore, I was disappointed to find I had a dead pixel. It was only 1 that refused to turn black. HOWEVER, big however....When I played Black Ops 4 for a little bit the pixel started responding to black and appeared to function fully as it should. So at the moment I have no dead pixels. So this is a good point to make. Just because a pixels isn't responding does not mean its dead. Doing some color tests will run through Red, Green, Blue, and black in full screen and will help to fix any "dead" pixels. These can be in form of videos on YouTube or websites. This will rapidly force pixels to change colors and is useful in fixing pixels that refuse to turn off or turn certain colors. This won't fix all pixels but its a first step. Next, the quality, the panel is sharp and has good viewing angles. For the ones that said the viewing angles are bad, well they must be blind because my monitor is capable of displaying readable text while nearly looking at the side of the monitor. Not really sure why you would need this, I usually buy monitors so I can look at them. If you are going to complain about viewing angles on this, then you probably have it turned backwards. The screen has a nice matte film on it making it lack selectivity. Great for gaming and watching videos on YouTube or Netflix. Be sure to turn on Overdrive in the monitor's menu for best pixel response time. However, I could notice with out-of-the-box settings that the monitor was very good at displaying quick pictures without any ghosting or laggy pixels. The monitor was set to 165hz out of the box and ran at such when I turned it on. All in all, a very good monitor for the price. My screen has no dead pixels, no light bleed. And its a slim nice looking monitor that serves great eye pleasures while using in games or while browsing the web. If I had to give any advice it would be to learn the menu so you can change settings to your liking. The user manual does a great job explaining everything.
This is the Deal of the Century
This monitor is ultra bang for buck at around 200$. On top of that it comes with a nice metal stand, screw driver, and DP or Display Port cable (Not mentioned in description). The free sync and fast frame rate never chop and can even run any video at max 4k at 60 Hz.
Great Monitor. Amazon Uses normal box for packaging though.
Had this monitor for 1 week now and the difference is really noticeable. The picture quality is great and text/games look smooth. Sound is low. I have my monitor up to 100 volume and the games, youtube audio maxed out and it just reaches an adequate noise level, so you'll probably want some kind of sound system to go along with this item, though I game/ watch hulu without a system and it's fine, just a little quiet.
Only problem with this is since Amazon ships this product for the seller, they ship it without any covering material, so anyone can see what the product is, as they use the regular box, like you'd see on the store shelf, as the packaging material. First thing I did was inspect the product to make sure someone didn't replace with a cheaper monitor. Amazon should at least use brown wrapping paper to hide the product, as this will eventually cause people issues.
Incredible 1080p gaming monitor for the price
I didn't expect much from a $160 monitor, especially considering the list of features it packed into it with a TN panel. I expected bad contrast/brightness, or ghosting, or some sort of catch, but it really surprised me. Brightness is decent and I haven't had any issues unless sunlight is directly on it in the middle of the day. The contrast works well enough for me in horror games and Destiny 2. The 165hz FreeSync is rock solid and I can't personally perceive any input lag at all. No ghosting or trailing that I can notice, nor did I see it with my mouse pointer.
I didn't need to adjust any settings in the monitor menus at all to get a great picture. Just went in and enabled FreeSync and disabled automatic sleep mode. Windows 10 detected it immediately and automatically put it in 165hz mode. NO DEAD PIXELS in my panel and that made me extremely happy considering the return policy other reviewers mentioned.
The speakers are junk but I've never heard any integrated speakers that impressed me, so it doesn't affect my review. The stand works pretty well and doesn't take up much space. It also has VESA mounting holes on the back which was unexpected considering some cheaper monitors leave that out and use proprietary stands.
Very happy with my purchase and will definitely hang onto this even after upgrading to 1440P/HDR later on. This will be a great secondary monitor or even something to use with my laptop.
