This is a great portable monitor. I like how thin and light it is. Works excellent for general use for work. Power over USB-C seems a little finicky at times with it shutting off and then back on, but that most likely is an issue with my device not outputting enough and not the monitor. So I won't lower the stars for it. With the dual USB-C though it was easy enough to plug in direct power. The monitor is quite bright and the contrast is good. It is very easy to read text while using it. The monitor also comes with HDMI to mini HDMI so even if you don't have USB-C on your laptop it will work out of the box. Two very small negatives I have is first with the magnetic case. I wish the magnetic was a little bit stronger. It works fine but it's a little easy to bump it off when moving it around. Second, I wish the refresh rate was a little higher. I often watch sports while i work and it a little choppy. (More felt then seen) Like I said though the case works fine and the monitor isn't designed for gaming or sports (especially for the price) so I wouldn't bump the star rating for it.

I’m used to working with a dual monitor setup at home and at the office. So when traveling, working off my 14” laptop monitor as the only monitor is almost painful. And working with spreadsheets is next to impossible. I decided to bite the bullet and get a portable monitor for the road and am so glad I did! Even though this only has 15.8” of real estate, it’s sharp enough to display about the same amount of information as on my 27” at home, just at a smaller magnification. So I feel like I’m functioning at about the same level of efficiency. Some features I like about this monitor are: 1. it fits in the same backpack as my laptop, and is so thin and light that it doesn’t really feel like I’m carrying extra weight. 2. it comes with all the necessary cables for virtually any laptop made in the last 10-15 years. My laptop is older so I had to use the mini HDMI to HDMI cord, and then use the power cord (which is just a usb cord plugged into the supplied wall charger; super lightweight). If you have a newer laptop, you can connect and power it at the same time with the supplied usb-c cable. 3. build quality is great - I think the backing is aluminum and it comes with a built in cover / stand. I packed my backpack pretty tightly and had no worries about this getting bent or smushed. The stand works fine too, although it only has two grooves in the cover, so you’re essentially limited to two positions in landscape mode. The bottom of the monitor has rubber feet though, and they do seem to be able to keep the stand in other angles outside of the grooves. Now for the cons … not much negative for me to say! If I’m being nitpicky, the built in speakers are not so great -- my phone’s speakers are much better. But, not really that big a deal to me since I’m mainly using it for work. Also, the power cord is too short. To get around this, I also carry an extension cord. Alternatively, you can buy a longer usb-c to usb-a cord (suggest 6 feet or more length).

This is a great monitor and super handy for someone who works on the go. I have a super hard time working without an extra screen and the one in my home office / work office is not very portable so I decided to buy this. Simple to set up and get connected, great graphics, no performance issues yet. The only thing I would say that is a flaw would be the cables length and the placement of their ports. The ports are on the right side of the monitor but for my laptop to extend its display, it has to be on the left side of the screen therefore the cable has to reach around the entire monitor and to my laptop port. However, the cables that came with this product to connect both power source and to your computer/ device are so short that it makes it challenging to make it work it all out logistically.
But no major issue, I just use another cord I have already to connect the two, and an extension cord for the outlet. The other thing is I assumed itd have a way to prop itself up whether a stand or something with the case it comes in but I can’t seem to figure it out so I will have to buy a laptop stand or something. Would still reccomend this purchase though!

I have been researching additional screens for my laptop for over a month now. I was intrigued by the ones that attach to the back of the laptop screen and fold or slide out, but i just wasnt sold. I finally came across portable separate screens like this. So glad i got this one vs. an attached one. I travel A LOT and i get extremely frustrated trying to work without a second screen since i use it on my desktop, it was time to get a second screen for when im stuck in hotel rooms on business.

1) The box had a high quality feel to it, the packing materials and everything inside the box spoke of quality to me. This is important to me as I am a business owner and manufacture product. Packaging is HUGE when it comes to customer experience. cheap packaging usually means cheap product.

2) super easy setup. i literally just plugged it into the USB-C on my laptop, immediately turned on. small little rocker switch on the side to adjust brightness. 30 seconds later changed setting on my laptop to extend display to the left side of my laptop.

3) its a solid little monitor. has a good weight to it. does not feel flimsy whatsoever. the stand feels pretty sturdy as well, and there are two indentations in the stand for different viewing angles.

4) pictures is sharp and clear. bright screen, accurate colors.

5) last but not least. i got this for $160. are you kidding? no brainer.

*amazon literally delivered it the same day. I live outside of denver, so def. in a major commerce area. this was literally the first time i ever had the option for that. which speaks to the availability and distribution of this product itself. I got the 3 year warrantly for $30 or whatever, since i travel A LOT, and will be bringing it with me everywhere.

** I have not tried the sound, and will never use it, as my laptop has bluetooth and i bring my JBL Charge with me wherever i go as well. but judging by the quality of the screen itself, it's probably pretty decent for what it is.

final thoughts. for this price, 100% happy with the purchase.

I just started working a hybrid role and wanted a portable monitor for when I WFH to extend my laptop screen onto two separate screens. This monitor is so nice and affordable.

WHAT I LOVED THE MOST
I’m a technical writer, and most times when I look at user manuals for products, I think they suck. They are not that user-friendly. The manual for this is very concise, easy to follow, and even the pages feel amazing and I *think* they are waterproof. I set this up in under 3 minutes. I used the usb-c to usb-c to connect to my laptop but there’s an HDMI cable as well. Maybe it’s the nerd in me, but whoever designed this monitor, the manual, and the packaging altogether did an amazing job.

Only con is my warranty registration isn’t working with the QR code, but they provided an email so hopefully I’ll hear back soon.

I really dislike working off of just one laptop screen, but cannot lug two giant monitors with me. This monitor was so easy to set up and use. The quality of the screen was amazing for the standard use case. The usb connection did not work well for my, but the hdmi connection worked great. It’s sleek, light and travels well. It was compatible with my HP.

I love this monitor! I travel and work from an RV and was carrying around and setting up 2 big monitors. I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. Its very thin and lightweight. I like that the cover is magnetic and folds over the front and back for a stand and protection. Its only about 1/4 inch thick so it easily slides into my laptop case at the end of the day. I plugged the HDMI and USBC into a small docking station. It started up immediately. The screen is the exact size of the laptop monitor and actually a better picture quality than the laptop. I've only had it a few days but so far so good.

This monitor is perfect for working while traveling. Compact. Cover is great. Looks like an oversized iPad with the cover on. Plenty of cords for connections. One thing it is not good at but not what I bought it for and that is the built in speakers.
