5.0 out of 5 stars Social gamer's best friend UPDATED 03/07/2023

If you are a social gamer or a exploratory gamer on a budget, this is perfect! I tend to play Fortnite, COD, and apex on PS4 PRO and this monitor definitely keeps up. I use to own a ACER ED027 SBIIPX 27 INCH FHD 5ms response time so as you can tell, I'm a fan of these affordable monitors. Which is why this version called my attention with the adjustable stand. The biggest reason I bought this version was it being ergonomically friendly. I can adjust it to the height and angle i please which is great for my neck and shoulders.
Visually: this monitor gives off great bright colors and deep blacks and has good presets already. For someone who has never owned a UHD or QHD monitor, i guess i have nothing to compare to in terms of display. When gaming, i do not experience tearing which is something I did experience with my old ED0 that had 5ms response G to G. This monitor has Overdrive mode so I'm sure that makes things look much better, which is something I hadn't experienced before.
When doing work on a computer and using it as a main display, i am pretty content. I feel that the pixels are less noticeable for some reason so this just goes to show that even with a 6 month manufacturing difference between my old and new model, Acer is working on their models performance and quality even at the mid range level on VA monitors.
Price point- i was actually pretty confused when I purchased this monitor at a cheaper price than my last. The Red Nitro has some 2.5 watt speakers that i honestly can't complain too much about. I tend to game on headset but when I feel like it, the speakers on 80 volume are pretty alright. That's the setting i have them at in the video. These speakers aren't to blast, but more almost to have background noise. Definitely not the best for an immersive experience but for a monitor this is a feature you can't really find at this price point.
So for this Nitro to be $160, have speakers, overdrive mode, and be 1ms VRS, have a strong beautiful red stand, Height/Tilt adjustment and 165hz FHD? THIS IS A STEAL. If your kid or even yourself, wanna upgrade to a slightly bigger monitor and have a flexible, resourceful monitor for any occasion, this is THE ONE.
Also- i honestly went on a whim buying this monitor because there are not many reviews out there on this particular version. So i wanted to make it known this is an affordable monitor that makes some great competition.
Con- I wish they made the monitor settings more user-friendly. The buttons are at such a weird angle, and really takes concentration to adjust to your likings.
I personally feel like those speakers could use some tweaking but I get that it's a budget monitor.
UPDATE: I've been having a problem when gaming where the screen will go black. It'll go black for about 6 seconds and then come back. It hasn't gotten me killed yet in game play, but it happens at the worst times.
9.5/10 for it's price point. Updated review is maybe a 8/10 cause for a gamer this black screen can be a headache.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value!

I bought the Acer Nitro 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 1500R Curved PC Gaming - Monitor. I've connected it to my Mac Mini computer - which I previously had connected to 2 older 25" HP monitors - which I use for work. I wanted a separate personal workstation - and don't need dual monitors. I mainly use the computer for web browsing, watching YouTube while doing non-computer work at my desk and writing. The only PC gaming I do are things live Civilization games - so overall nothing too taxing. This monitor is more than sufficient for my needs.
The 27" size is perfect. Sitting at a desk, if I zoom in a couple of times on a webpage to remove the blank banners on the side, it is perfect. If I had 32" screen, at the distance I am, I would have to move my head to see parts of the screen - like the ribbon at the top. This is my first curved screen; I'll never go back to a flat screen. If I needed dual setup, two of these wrapping around would be really sweet.
I have it on HDR mode and the brightness set to 100. It is bright enough, but it is at its highest limit. Set up is very easy - there is literally 1 screw, and the monitor clicks into the base securely. The metal base is solid and looks good. The monitor's height is fixed, but the screen does tilt to the desired angle.
Overall - very happy with it and recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The thing is fantastic!

This thing is absolutely fantastic, I use it for my main monitor and then I use a cheaper curve monitor for my second one. And I absolutely love the refresh rate and the picture quality on this one. So much so that I can't wait to try and find a 4K Acer monitor and then use this one as my second monitor. I also love that you can adjust it forward and back. You can adjust the tilt, turn it side to side. You can even adjust the height. It's well worth the money.

Best monitor I have used for this price range, HDR actually works!
180hz is the max refresh rate and the picture quality, backlight is all as expected. Passed every troubleshooting test to make sure there's no dead pixels or ghosting and it's excellent. HIGHLY suggest you buy this monitor if you need a new one, or looking to improve your gaming experience without breaking the bank.

I really do appreciate how much satisfaction this new monitor has given me for my ps5 screen i highly recommend if your someone who's playing on an 1080p screen to upgrade to this its perfect and if you don't really care about a huge size tv screen and if your okay a personal size is what i will call it of a screen like at a desktop. beautiful smooth graphics and gameplay experience. the only thing that was not good is the sounds was bad low and not so clear to hear and as well as how it was shipped you should definitely make sure to ship this kind of product with protection because in the box it wasn't stable inside at all so that's maybe also why others have put they got one with a crack in the screen so yeah just a heads up for anyone else who's gonna purchase this item but overall its quite nice Im happy with it. :)
I also wanted to say that i bought a sound bar for 40$ from walmart its a perfect sound to your ears from this monitor to use. sound bar uploaded in the review images as well

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect monitor for new gamers!!! and more!!

If your new to PC gaming or have a new video game console I think this is the monitor for you! It's the perfect monitor to get gaming with higher refresh rate like 165hz and AMD freesync technology. The picture looks great when used as a TV and connected to a PC. The built in speakers sound just ok nothing to rave about. I really like the metallic red stand it comes with but this monitor can be easily mounted. The resolution is only 1080p but most games are not being made in 4k yet so you can't go wrong. Overall I think its a great value for the money. Very easy to set up, very well packaged too.

I don't have money to spend on top of the line things. Or money to waste on junk products. Do you? This Acer 27" 1440p monitor is absolutely amazing. Great color and clarity. 170hrz at 1440p for $180 is an amazing steal. I am not a fan of the included stand but i have my monitor on a mount so it doesn't matter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente por su precio

Me gusta:

I was skeptical about this monitor since the screen was VA type, but quality of the image suprised me. I use this monitor for gaming on pc with HD settings and sometimes on PS5 at QHD. The image looks great. I also have a another monitor for 4k with a frame rate of 60. I use this one for multiplayer shooters mainly, great option at this price point (~180)

5.0 out of 5 stars From someone who knows nothing about monitors, I love it

It’s about to be a year since I have had this monitor, and i genuinely have no complaints. That being said, I don’t know anything about monitors or refresh rate or whatever those numbers and letters mean. I don’t play heavy games, I just play Genshin Impact and Minecraft and Stardew Valley and stuff at the moment, and I have never had any dead pixels or weird lines show up on my monitor at all. I am going to upgrade from using the monitor with my laptop or an actual pc tower soon, so if I remember I will update with new specs or whatever.
