A very slick IPS option from Asus. Great for office work.
A very new product but right out of the box this worked with both USB C and USB 3.0. Installing the software (google the model MB16ACV and on Asus page under support tab) allowed for the auto rotate to work well. Make sure it is active in both software and on screen settings. Color is quite good for and IPS but obviously not a rival to my Samsung OLED 12.4" S7+ tablet display.

For the price and next day delivery it is very nice. Also not having to use a case as a stand is cool. The sleeve case only needs to be used when or if travel is needed.

Great monitor if you can get it at the original price
Don't know how or why, but the AOC CU34G2X was advertised at much less than the comparable LG ultrawide only to find out when I checked again the price had basically tripled. So if you can get this at the original price this is a bargain.

The monitor build quality is great and isn't over the top like others with RGB and elaborate cases. The only gripe I really have is the fact that the menu's are driven with the old fashioned side by side button arrangement rather than utilizing a small joystick which would make adjustments much easier. However there is a simple remedy to this and that is to download AOC's g-menu utility from their EU site. Once installed all the monitor tweaks and customizations can be accomplished with the utility. You obviously need to have the monitor plugged into your PC via the provided USB cable, but that's it.
The monitor comes with a really good stand which is spring loaded to go up and down, turn left and right and tilt forward or back. You cannot rotate the screen. It also comes supplied with a display port cable, HDMI 2.1 compliant cable and the previously mentioned USB cable. The back panel offers several USB 3.0 ports as a hub.
Now talking about picture quality and refresh rates, ghosting, etc. is very subjective and I don't have professional tools to really give a data driven review here. I can tell that the very edges have a very small amount of diminished brightness, which is most abundantly noticeable with white background. I have yet to play any games with freesync turned on as I am still building up my Ryzen 9 3900X with 5700 XT card, but the couple of games I played (Control and Assassins Creed) the monitor has met my expectations. There are several customization settings available to fine tune the monitor to RTS, FPS and racing style games and each of them can further be optimized.
All in all this is a great monitor and I can't wait to see when this is first reviewed by one of the big outfits on YT.

Phenominal screen and no dead pixels!
Just set the screen up with my new 2080 Super. Checked for dead pixels (none!). Verified 144Hz. Verified adaptive sync on. Verified no PWM back-light strobing. Fired up Hell Let Loose. PROCEEDED TO LOSE MY MIND.

This monitor was worth the wait. Even the out-of-the-box color settings are superb. I'm so so impressed. I've gamed at 144+Hz before but never on a screen that looks this good. Worth every penny.

Great Monitor for Xbox One X & PC Gaming
This is a great monitor for PC gaming as well as playing on the Xbox One X console. The monitor looks great and is super fast for competitive gaming. Microsoft recently released support for native 1440p as well as 120Hz. This monitor allows you to select both 1440p AND 120Hz if you turn off the Adaptive-Sync option in the monitor on screen-settings. This allows you to take advantage of the fastest input delay times the monitor has to offer. With Adaptive-Sync (Freesync 2) on you can only select 60hz unless you drop down to 1080p (this is because at 1440p freesync can only go up to 100hz) At 1080p you can set the Xbox One X back to 120hz.

Overall I have been very impressed with how this monitor looks and plays.

Really nice monitor, but no speakers on 246E9QDSB model
After reading some reviews on here, there was some conflicting information regarding whether or not the monitor had built in speakers. I got the monitor and plugged in a working HDMI cable and was able to get everything connected but there was no sound. Called tech support and they referred me to the model number: 246E9QDSB. Turns out that this particular model does not have built in speakers. I was confused because the manual that I found online from the Philips website states on page 13, under 'convenience', that there are two built in speakers for the unit. BUT the speakers are only built into the 246E9QJA model. The back of the monitor looks like it has vents/ports for speakers, but the tech said that was because they use the same shell as the 246E9QJA for the 246E9QDSB, but do not incorporate the speakers. Not the end of the world, as there is a convenient HDMI audio out port on the back for desktop speakers (which I likely would have used anyways).
Just make sure that you know which model number you are getting if having built-in speakers is a must.

A great all around monitor, especially for the price!
Man, $115 was a steal for this monitor! For that price, you can't even find a 75-90Hz monitor, let alone this one. Now I'm going to answer the number one question about this monitor. Yes, it does have ghosting right out of the box. BUT, you can reduce it drastically by tinkering with the settings. In Luminance section, my Eco Mode is set to "Standard", with Brightness and Contrast at 50, and my Gamma is set to "Gamma3". In Color Setup, my Color Temp is set to "Warm". In Game Settings, my Overdrive is set to "Medium", and my Adaptive Sync is "On". Game Color is set to "10". These are my personal settings, you might like them or hate them. Every monitor is going to have a little bit of ghosting, that's why monitor settings exists. When it comes to Overdrive, Medium or Off is your best choice. The Strong mode has the best affects on lighter objects, but it over ghosts on darker objects. For the best results on this monitor, I highly recommend using a Display Port cord if your graphics card or motherboard supports it. HDMI is fine, but it doesn't carry color accuracy as well as the Display Port. But like I said, there's nothing to complain about at this price point. I'm thankful that I even got a working monitor for $115.

I'm an AOC-convert with their price and zero-dead-pixel warranty
I've loved my LG W2452T since 2008 and it's been an excellent 60hz monitor for gaming with great response time. I've been nervous that I'd be disappointed with LED backlighting bleed/glow, coming from a fluorescent backlight, and also nervous about dead pixels being the norm when back in 2008, they weren't especially for good panels like LG.

I thought I'd finally go for an Asus, but I hated that I might have an eye sore dead pixel and have to be stuck with it. AOC, at this time, has a zero dead pixel warranty for 3 years, and I'm content that I'll either have one by then, or never will afterward...or by 3-5 years 2160p may be the norm for gaming and I'll upgrade.

The picture quality is improved over my old TN panel and the response time is still great. The angles of colors are nice to finally see "normally" instead of having to tilt and move my head when working in photoshop. I was worried the response time would be bad when going for an IPS panel, but panels have come a long way in 12 years!

There's a setting to display the refresh rate via monitor hardware, which is a great feature. I thought it'd be fun to see it change with g-sync enabled, but what it actually did was show me that even though I enjoyed the 144hz refresh rate in gaming, g-sync wasn't actually enabled and functioning despite making multiple changes to enable it (or, so I thought), because it stayed pegged at 144hz. So, I already had an "oh, this is a really nice upgrade" moment with 144hz, but then I learned it wasn't actually functioning correctly and I looked up and changed more settings software-side and then had another "wow" moment when g-sync was actually working!

I'm sticking with AOC for my next monitor because the price and function is excellent, especially with the pixel warranty included in the price.

A perfect travel monitor
Light weight and a very nice display. I don't use for gaming, I use for business analysis, and it's perfect.

From what other users have written: the monitor stand is excellent IF you correctly fold it. The pictures in the instructions aren't very clear, and it took some time, but once I got it figured out, it's rock solid. If the monitor isn't solid, you don't have the case properly folded. The case also provides adequate protection for when the monitor is stored in a briefcase.

I am using the HDMI input. The USB-C didn't work from my HP Envy laptop (I got a message "did not recognize the device"). I think I have USB-C v1.0, so that is probably why. The nice thing with C is you don't also need the power cord, but you do need it with HDMI. Not a big deal.

I have zero complaints with the monitor and would buy another one if I needed it

Easy on the checkbook and an excellent monitor too!
My only gripe is how hard it was to get out of the box! It was really well protected and that's a good thing, but dang, I was cursing at it towards the end. Anyway, this monitor set up within ten minutes, and I love the adjustable height stand that was included. I really like the non-reflective screen, and the easy controls. The on -board speakers sound good, but even at max volume it wasn't working for me, so I just went back to my small speaker bar and it's fine. All the cables needed are included, even a small audio cable to line in to the monitor's speakers. The best part? I ordered it last night and received it today!

Great screen, truly awful speakers
This would have gotten 5 stars if it did NOT come with built in speakers.

I bought this for my office, not to game with or watch tv or movies. As a screen it is NICE. It is a good curve, great matte finish that repels glare. Nice interface & easy to set up. Its big enough that I can run 2-3 apps side by side without going with a 2nd monitor - saving my 2nd monitor for dedicated apps that I dont need to close or minimize to do other work. Solidly built, it comes with options for height & wall mounting. Almost impossible to knock over using the desk mount kit.

It actually comes with a real screwdriver for assembly - not a goofy piece of angled metal that acts like a screwdriver, a real honest to goodness screwdriver with a handle and a silicone tip for storage. I have a workshop, so I don't need another screwdriver, but it impressed me that Sceptre included such a nice item simply to secure 4 small screws. That says something about the company. Which is why the built in speakers bother me so much that it knocked off 2 stars.

I specifically bought this unit because it offered built in speakers, leading me to think I could get away with not having external speakers on my desk. These speakers are AWFUL. Tinny sound, quiet, zero mids or lows - within a minute of using this, I knew I would need speakers. Why even bother putting them in if this is what you're gonna offer?

GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH
I didn't like the price, I didn't like MSI just because I've never heard of MSI before. But in light of things I figured I would give it a whirl and buddy lemme tell ya what the best decision I've made in awhile it's the cleanest, sharpest picture I've ever seen and with all the awesome things it does I'll say the money I paid for it was worth it. The height adjuster is definitely an A+ as well so if you're buying for yourself or a loved one then do them a favor give them the gift of A NO GLARE WORLD !! THAT'S RIGHT IT'S ALSO A NON GLARE SCREEN I'VE NOT EXPERIENCED A NO GLARE TV SCREEN OR MONITOR SCREEN BUT BOY LEMME TELL YA WHAT IT'S DIFFERENT AND WEIRD JUST BECAUSE I GREW UP WITH TV'S THAT SHOWED EVERYTHING SO YES UNCLE TIM COULD BE SEEN WALKING IN YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE BUT NOT ANYMORE!! my apologies for my excitement i know a lil weird but I'm new to this no glare thing and it's worth the money, I mean at first I thought no glare yeah right and true to God no glare now you might catch a glimpse of a tiny piece of something if you looked at sideways and you've had to be so sideways to see just a spec of whatever that you'll need a chiropractor to readjust your neck. Don't mean to beat this one thing to death but this MONITOR as simple as it looks does all kinds of things and has what you need in a monitor and my son loves it just enjoys it completely. I know my excitement went off the charts a bit but I'm not overly embellishing anything and my apologies about my excitement on the no glare thing but when no glare first came out it wasn't good so anyhow enjoy one of your best decisions in technology I know I am but for real you'll not go wrong with buying this monitor I know there's other monitors out there but this one hands down is the bang for your buck seriously so if you've been looking for awhile then you're probably happy to see my review cuz I just ended the search for ya. I'm not famous or anything special just an honest person who don't hold anything back and if this monitor don't do it for ya or don't do whatever then I dunno what to say to that cuz this monitor has everything you need to view anything you want so yeah but this one you'll thank me for it later

Great monitor for work (and the kids while travelling)
I bought this monitor to have a second screen at work. (*It also shipped in one day for my location; a BIG plus for me*) The picture clarity is perfect for what I need. I do a lot of data entry work and the native 720p resolution really delivers crisp font for when I am proofreading and analyzing data.

As some reviews also mention, this screen is great to use in a pinch if you have kids who like to game. They just plug and play and I can have a nice quiet cup of coffee in the next hotel room over. The screen packs away easily along with their gaming consoles! Needless to say, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

My only caveat to this monitor is that I wish there was a set of ports on the long side of the screen so that I can easily set up the monitor for vertical orientation; I look at a lot of legal documentation and it would be convenient to set the screen up in this fashion so I don't have to build or find a stand that will accommodate for the wires.

So this thing is actually really REALLY good
Honestly, this was an impulse buy for me. I hoped I would get it and it would be horrible so I could send it back and get a refund. The problem is...it's actually REALLY good. The brightness is fine for my use, the colors are vibrant, the contrast is great, and there's no backlight bleed to be found. The speakers are a bit on the quiet side but I'm using it both as a secondary display on a portable gaming PC and as a portable monitor for my XBox One S. For the PC, the speakers don't matter. For the Xbox, they're fine if I'm gaming in a quiet room by myself. If I'm gaming in a noisier environment, or want bigger sound, I have the option of plugging headphones into either the display itself or my XBox controller. Either way, I'm good to go. The only complaint I have is that my XBox booted into low resolution mode because it was previously connected to a 4k TV. Low res mode boots into 640x480 and this display does not seem to like that, resulting in this weird double image that bounces up and down and has lots of distortion. The only solutions I know of are to disable 4k ahead of time, via the XBox settings, or just make your way to the settings to switch the display resolution to 1080p. While it's awkward, it's not impossible to do this while the display is freaking out. With all of the benefits this display provides, this feels like a very small sacrifice. I'm not even a little bit mad that a modern LCD panel in 2020 doesn't support 640x480. I'm keeping this thing and it's now a permanent addition to my gaming backpack.

It works and provides great value
I bought this monitor three months ago when my employer sent me home to work and I realized that I hadn't grabbed my work monitors.
When it arrived, I took it out of the box, attached the mount, and plugged the HDMI cable into the monitor and my laptop. It just works and has given me NO trouble at all.
I do a ton of writing and some work with Adobe InDesign, and this monitor's picture is crisp and clear. I don't play games so I can't speak to its gaming quality. For reading and writing, though, it's perfect.
Oh, the mount is not adjustable and I needed the screen to be higher. So I put a book underneath it and everything is fine!

Great value for the price
First I will say I haven't purchased anything other than cinema displays for a long, long time but the price point on them has gotten ridiculous. After a lot of searching I settled on this monitor for the price and value given I wanted dual monitors with ergo stands and didn't want to go through building it all myself.

To other people's comment the anti-glare is there but I think it is fine (for the price) compared to the glare issues that come without it. That is six of one, a half dozen of the other in my opinion.

You definitely want to use an HDMI connect. USB-C is terrible and lacks features. If you are using HDMI then I have not had any issues with recognition, waking up etc. I did have to go in and turn off the auto color settings in OSX and on the monitor but once I did that, the colors are plenty true. If you are a professional photographer / videographer they might not be perfect enough for you but I do a ton of hobby DSLR photography and videography and it has been fine. If I'm super worried I sanity check on my MBP screen.

The speakers are monitor speakers. I would prefer they just leave them out of monitors all together but don't look for those to be amazing. Again for the price, features and quality I think this is a very solid product.

Smooth as Butter
I have gone through multiple monitors in the past couple of years, trying to find the right one that also doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Before this, I was using a 34" LG Ultrawide at 75hz. For 2560*1080, I found 35" to be too big of a screen. I think this is a perfect size. The details are much better and it is soooooo smooth. I notice minimal to no ghosting. I wouldn't let that scare you away. The overall color/picture quality is also solid. Build construction is good. The monitor has a nice heft.

The ONLY drawback, in my opinion, is the stand that this monitor comes with. As you can see from my picture, it is too short, and causes you to crane your neck down. I tried a generic monitor riser (also pictured) and it worked okay, but made the overall footprint of the monitor too large. Additionally, the monitor's legs were so long that they hung off the side of the riser. Finally, I tried a $30 monitor arm (also pictured). It makes the monitor take up the least amount of desk space, and is also the most flexible in terms of height/orientation. The built-in VESA adapter is sturdy and I have no concerns in regards to it.

Not so good for a gaming PC but perfect for average people.
This is a pretty good choice and almost life changing for basic tasks like using chrome, YouTube and doing work on it EXCEPT for gaming. I purchased this as my first monitor for my gaming pc and while it is beautiful for as said above, in gaming it makes very little sense. The screen size is too small for ultrawide gaming to be enjoyable. When they say it is a 25 inch screen, it is measured diagonally, which means since it’s an ultrawide, that length is not the same as it would be for a normal screen or tv and its a lot smaller. Especially if you’re playing games that don’t support ultrawide resolution. The 16:9 size of this screen running non ultrawide games is only 20 inches, which is REALLY small. The lowest screen size you can and usually would want to purchase for a 16:9 screen would be 22 inches at the VERY least. Most average 16:9 monitor size that people usually purchase for gaming monitors is 24 inches, while the biggest people can comfortable game on is 27 inches. On paper it doesn’t sound like a big deal but it makes a huge difference and you will most likely notice it after using it for awhile. Other than that, the monitor has beautiful color accuaracy and viewing angles since it’s an IPS panel and of course since it is a budget ultrawide, the screen is a normal 60hz refresh rate, which you’ll only need to worry about if you were going to use it for gaming. Pretty decent for price but ultrawide gaming should be done on something bigger for it to be enjoyable.

My 17 Year Old Son Loves it!
I did a TON of research before buying this Monitor because there are SO many variables and options out there it was extremely hard to choose! This one really checked all of my boxes and so far my son loves it! He really loves it!

Mainly it was the size I wanted, had a nice curve, g-sync compatible, and 160hz capable plus more! It wasn't the most affordable unit out there but like I said, it checked ALL my boxes and so far it's proven to be a great choice!

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card you'll want to utilize g-sync but g-sync is an expensive feature! This monitor is g-sync compatible, meaning it isn't g-sync certified. G-sync compatible monitors are hit or miss when it comes to the range of max Hertz but this one is a hit! It's what NVIDIA calls a 'Validated Experience'. A true g-sync monitor is more money but I would put a wager against any of those monitors in comparison to this one!

If you're like me you don't want to spend this much money without having some sort of confidence in your choice so I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great gaming experience!

Average for text, very good for images. Low sound. Good value for money.
I needed a replacement for my high-end 4:3 Philips monitor. The replacement needed to have VESA mount provisions so I could reuse the adjustable VESA mount on the Philips. I also wanted reasonable sounding built-in speakers.
I've spent considerable time using the VX2452MH's on-screen adjustments, but the text quality and contrast fall short of the Philips' performance. My assessment has not changed after ten days of use. Other than that, the image is good and graphics and streaming videos look good.
The sound out of the speakers is OK, but just lacking the fullness of even small external speakers. No surprise there, however the speaker volume with the PC and monitor controls fully high is a medium level at best and certainly never loud. Not acceptable if you plan on being more that a desk's width away from the monitor.
One last thing is that the diagonal is 24-1/2" not 24" if that matters to you (The vertical screen dimension is the same as a 19-inch 4:3 monitor, and 1/2" shorter than a 21-inch 4:3).

YOU HAVE TO TURN ON FREE SYNC USING MONITOR
I bought this to upgrade both the size of my old 23" HD monitor, and the graphics card which I also upgraded for MS Flight Simulator 2020, which I finally downloaded last night. The scenery level in the sim defaulted to "High" based on my computer specs, but the graphics were beautiful and frame rates reasonably good and smooth, with no juddering or tearing. Overall really happy with this monitor. Settings and instructions are a little vague and there were some glitches based on not knowing things about it. Like it said "FreeSync" not supported and was not enabled and wouldn't enable it. After much digging I found you have to go to the bottom of the monitor and engage that little hat switch for settings, then go to "GAME ADJUST" There you will find the switch to turn on FreeSync. Other than that kind of thing, it seems to be performing great.

Stop grumbling and just buy it! Lol
After researching every single outlet available, like most of you probanly have. I settled with this, VG27AQ. Hard to find one available cause clearly everyone else wants one. The picture is amazing coupled with shadow boost and overclock. I play "Escape From Tarkov" a hardcore rpg/looter/shooter. Being able to see every single detail is absolutely imperative if your going to survive a match in this game. This monitor had not let me down at all. And beyond that I am able to customize the setting to help view better in night time/night vision. Or maps with many obstacles to hide behind. VESA mount helps too if you have a streaming set up.
I would buy another if it wasn't so expensive, but for what your getting it's 300$ cheaper than the competition. Stop grumbling around and just buy this one dude.

Great monitor, nice cover. Cover does not work well to prop up monitor
It's a really nice monitor, especially for the price. The cover is nice and slips on/off really easily. However, it is supposed to fold under itself and prop up the monitor. It doesn't work very well. I bought a folding stand to carry with and it's better. But it's an added cost then.

The USB-C is on the far left. Not a big deal, but causes the cable to have to run around the back of the monitor (i like the 2nd display to the left of my laptop). Requires a bit longer of a cable, and more cable mess to contend with when working in small places while on the road (airport, hotel, conf room table, etc). Also, requires the cable bend radius to take it farther to the left and back around the monitor. Would be nice to have it on either side. I bought some right angle USB-C adapters to help fix that.

Sound is not great. Similar to your laptop. I only use it with my laptop (not with gaming consoles, etc), so i already have 2 tinny poor quality speakers in my laptop. Didnt need a 2nd pair.

 Reasonably_Priced High Performance Monitor
The monitor, Model 246E9QDSB/27, ordered with free shipping, arrived six days after the order was placed. It was in top condition due to manufacturer's styrofoam inside a strong box inside an Amazon box. The monitor setup was easy and I used the DVI connection. I was very taken aback when I turned the unit on and got a full color, brilliant display that was decidedly better than the monitor I replaced. Overall I am very pleased with the performance so far.
The ISP screen is very applicable to our family needs as we frequently Skype with our grandchildren. Two of us sit side-by-side, dividing the screen, and each of us has a great view due to the very wide viewing angle (178 deg). I believe gamers might find this monitor to be very adequate but have not tried it for gaming use. There is absolutely no apparent flicker and the Low Blue Light setting gives a very normal brightness for almost all of our normal viewing needs. Toggling between Low Blue Light and Normal Light mode is a quick and simple procedure once you locate and learn the function of the single switch (see comment below).
There are a few items that I will note. First, although the monitor does comply with the VESA mounting standard (in this case, 75mm by 75mm) for monitor mounting, I could not use my very flexible tilt and rotate desktop monitor stand I had anticipated using because the input fittings which extend out perpendicular from the monitor back, both DVI and VGA, interfere enough with the stand column as to prevent the use of the stand. I could use HDMI for this model number but to do so would require some challenging cabling mods for my particular setup. Secondly, the on/off and mode selector switch is rather cryptically described in the manual. I finally found the switch and discovered that it was a multi-function toggle-type switch located at the bottom center of the monitor back. The diagramatic instructions should be augmented by stating in words, "The on/off and multi-function toggle-type switch is located about one inch from the bottom center of the monitor back. This switch is used for selecting the monitor functions and for making monitor adjustments." Thirdly, there was no CD or DVD included with the order. I went online to the Phillips website under Support, downloaded the driver file and User Manual and easily found the latest driver with the helpful instruction as to how to verify that the generic Windows 10 driver was being used and instruction as to how to install and verify that the correct driver had been installed. I consider these to be minor critics. In short, I am very pleased with this high-quality, very modern and up-to-date monitor...good job Phillips!

May 2020 Review - You get what you pay for
Literally. You get what you pay for. This is a 27" screen with relatively thin bezels, good screen quality, and absolutely easy to set up.

Its a hundred dollars people, don't go ordering and expect to receive some top of the line LG/Samsung smart monitor quality type of build. Know what you're buying. It's a hundred dollar monitor. Sure, the stand/base is made of very thin plastic and does not seem uber durable, but if you're a normal person who keeps it on a stable desk (even better, wall-mount it) and doesn't have much trouble toppling the whole desk over, not much of a problem. Audio is definitely low tier for sure, but I use headphones/soundbar so it doesnt bother me. Buttons on the back are not so easy to navigate but give it a week, you won't even notice it. Right most for power, second right most of source change, and left most for settings. Figured it out in 30 mins and have had no issues with it since.

Easy quick plug in and play. Comes with an HDMI cable and product manual. No dead pixels, no scratches, no issues.

Again, for a ONE HUNDRED dollar monitor, not much to complain about. Cheers to Spectre. Great deal right here.
